Robert Guttmann


Biography

Robert Guttmann is an economist based in New York City and Paris.

He is Professor of Economics at Hofstra University where he was the department chair from October 2003 to August 2012. He was also Associate Professor at the Centre d’Économie Paris-Nord (CEPN), Université Paris XIII.

Guttmann has taught courses on international economics, monetary economics, and the history of economic thought.

He has written about the economics of climate change, the digitalization of money, and the financialization of the global economy.
