Castillo San Cristóbal, San Juan, Puerto Rico
- Castillo San Cristóbal is a fortress located in Old San Juan, a district within the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico that is home to many of the city’s most historic sites. 
- Construction of the fort was started by the Spanish in 1634 and completed in 1790. 
- It was constructed by the Spanish to protect the territory from land assaults from the east. 
- Situated on the Caribbean shore, the massive structure is comprised of multiple levels, a series of lengthy tunnels, and numerous look out points from which to keep watch out into the Caribbean and over the island. 
- It is located within walking distance of El Capitolio, which houses the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico, and Castillo San Felipe del Morro, a fortress located at the northwestern tip of Old San Juan.
